MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL

By comparing the biblical passages of Numbers 14:21 with Habakkuk 2:14 we discover the progression of God’s plans regarding His People and His Church on earth in the last days. His plan involves the following three specific layers:

  1. “…but truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord [my emphasis]” (Numbers 14:21);
  2. “For the earth shall be filled with knowledge of the glory of the Lord [my emphasis], as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14);
  3. “For the earth shall be filled with knowledge of the glory of the Lord [my emphasis], as the waters cover the sea [my emphasis]” (Habakkuk 2:14).

After centuries of being in the Tabernacle of Moses and then on the Temple of Solomon, the glory of the Lord departed from the midst of Jerusalem and settled on the Mount of Olives (Ezekiel 11:22-23). However, God made the above prophetic statements. Therefore, while God’s declaration has been partially fulfilled in different ways through the ages, our hearts unite with king David, as well as prophets Isaiah, Habakkuk, Zechariah, and apostle Paul to see those prophetic events fulfilled.

These progressive prophesies from “the glory of the Lord”’ filling the earth towards going deeper so the earth is also filled with “the knowledge of the same glory as the waters cover the sea” it is an inward spiritual ability to experience God’s glory, to grasp what His glory is, as well as what His glory is intended to accomplish. Additionally, the reference to the “knowledge of the glory of the Lord” as well as the “as the waters cover the sea” implies the need to pursue the studying of the Word of God as the prophetic meaning of ‘waters’.

Our primary motivation and objective at Hebron and our ministry is essentially to be focused on studying these aspects of God’s Plan for His Church and the earth on the last days prior and after Jesus’ Second Coming. That is, it becomes clear that the greatest need among Christians around the world today is for trained and anointed leadership. Thousands of trained Christian Leaders are needed to properly care for the needs of God’s people as well as the implementation of God’s glorious plan for planet Earth. Without adequate preparation in God’s Word, Christian Leaders and those who follow them are in danger of compromising their faith and accepting error.

We believe that theological and ministerial training should be God-glorifying, Christ-focused, Holy Spirit-anointed, Bible-integrated and taught on the authority of God’s Word for the edifying up of God’s Church.    Therefore, Our ministry is to serve the training needs of the Church. Specific training is now given in practical evangelism, pastoral ministry, missions, and theology.

Already thousands of students have graduated from these study programmes, but we feel that only a start has been made to meet the needs facing the Church. Our ministry continues to expand locally and internationally, and we thank God that He continues to give us the initiative and provision to make a meaningful contribution to the Body of Christ by bringing Bible training into homes, schools, colleges, Bible schools and churches.

We are dedicated to our commission:

“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2).

May God grant us the grace to serve Him with excellence to fulfil the Great Commission and establish His Plans for planet earth.

Yours sincerely in Christ,

Dr. Fernando Da Silva
